Inspired by meditation, this work is a visual manifestation of my mindful practice, where each brushstroke becomes a meditation in itself. I intentionally refrained from using measurements, allowing the lines to flow organically in response to my breath, emotions, and mental state in real time.

Each line traces the subtle fluctuations of the mind, shaped by the five hindrances in meditation — restlessness, sleepiness, aversion, desire, and doubt. When these distractions arise, the lines waver, curve, or lose their intended direction. At moments of overwhelm, I pause and begin again, leaving behind gaps that mark interruption, adjustment, and return.

This painting is not concerned with aesthetic perfection. Instead, it reflects the impermanence of the mind during meditation — the ebb and flow between stillness and distraction — and records how these shifts shape my experience of the present moment.
